Day 1: Arrive Delhi

Meet and assist on arrival in Delhi. Later transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi

After breakfast, our guide will meet you at hotel lobby to take you on the full day city tour of Delhi. The tour includes visit to interesting places in Old Delhi in the first half, coveringRed Fort (exterior) built by Emperor Shah Jahan the creator of Taj Mahal, Jama Masjid one of Asia’s largest mosque, enjoy the cycle rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk the main street in old Delhi and a lively shopping bazaar and later visit to Rajghat, memorial site of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.

Afternoon tour of New Delhi to include, the mid- 16th century Humayun’s Tomb, the 12th century medieval tower Qutub Minar and drive past India Gate a 42m high stone memorial arch, Parliament House and President’s residence in New Delhi. By evening return to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3: Delhi – Samode

After breakfast, we drive to the village of Samode (near Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan) for two nights at the beautiful Samode Palace. The Palace has been transformed into one the country’s premier palace hotels. Traditional welcome on arrival. Rest of the day free to explore this quaint village. Overnight in Samode.

Day 4: Samode

We spend the day exploring the rural life around Samode riding on camels. Three kilometres away from the village lies polychromatic flowering bushes, fruit trees and lush green lawns of Samode Bagh. It is a walled garden that once served as the recreation grounds for Samode Palace. It is an oasis set amidst the dry rugged expanse of an ochre desert.

Day 4: Samode

We’ll stop at Samode Bagh where a lunch will be hosted on the recreation grounds. Tonight we host a gala dinner for you at a special venue to add to the charm of the palace. Overnight in Samode.

Day 5: Samode – Mandawa

After breakfast, we depart for Mandawa located in a very special region of Rajasthan known as the Shekhawati. Mandawa is world famous for its heritage Havelis (mansions) and colourful fresco art. Thousands of tourists come here to see this open art gallery of Rajasthan. The Havelis, painted predominantly in blue, maroon, yellow, green and indigo have beautiful wall paintings that adorn their walls.

The best place to discover the legacy of Shekhawati is from the comfort of Castle Mandawa, a fortress, now converted into a luxurious heritage hotel. Post lunch, you may like to walk to the many painted havelis of some of the leading business families of the country. Some of the better known Havelis of Mandawa are Chowkhani Haveli, Goenka Haveli, Saraf Haveli and Ladia Haveli etc. Overnight in Mandawa.

Day 6: Mandawa – Bikaner – Gajner

After breakfast, we drive to Gajner Palace, a former hunting lodge besides a lake, built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner, enroute take a halt in Bikaner for lunch and sightseeing of Bikaner city that includes Junagarh Fort built on the desert plains, instead of hilltop. In the evening continue for Gajner. Arrive late evening, check-in hotel and overnight in Gajner.

Day 7: Gajner

After breakfast explore the the surroundings of the Gajner Palace and view birds and animal life along the lake. Gajner Palace was used as a hunting resort by the former Maharajas and visiting British dignitaries during the days of the Raj. Afternoon relax & enjoy the luxury of the Palace Hotel. Evening we assemble at the Gajner Palace for a cocktail session and dinner with the accompaniment of folk dance and music. Overnight in Gajner.

Day 08: Gajner – Jaisalmer

Today, a long but interesting drive through the desert will take us to Jaisalmer. Enroute visit the Pokhran Fort. Late evening arrival Jaisalmer, check-in hotel and overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 09: Jaisalmer

After breakfast full day guided sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer city that includes the splendid Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples (12-15th centuries), Havelis (mansions) , sunset Camel safari in Sam desert. Overnight at Jaisalmer.

Day 10: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur – Rohet

Leave by surface to ROHET. En route visit Jodhpur city, visiting Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada a graceful marble cenotaph & Umaid Bhawan Palace (Now a grand heritage hotel). Late PM: On arrival, check-in hotel. Overnight in Rohet Garh.

Day 11: Rohet

After breakfast we explore the beautiful village of Rohet, situated 40 kilometres away from Jodhpur. The village of Rohet is also known as the ‘Evergreen Oasis in the Desert’. The Rohetgarh Fort in this village used to be the ancestral home of Thakur Dalpat Singh I. This is where we will stay for the night as the guests of the family. This evening the family hosts a bar-be-que dinner by the pool. Overnight in Rohet.

Day 12: Rohet – Udaipur

After breakfast we head south through scenic countryside towards Udaipur, enroute visiting the stunning Jain Temple at Ranakpur, with its 1444 marble pillars, on the way. En route we host you a lunch at the very special Ranakpur hill resort. Upon arrival check in at the Lake Palace for a stay of two nights.

Day 13: Udaipur

After breakfast make a guided city tour of Udaipur, also known as City of lakes or Venice of the East. Udaipur nestles like a gem in a valley surrounded by green Aravalli hills. Make a tour of City Palace, the largest in Rajasthan, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon ki Bari or the Gardens of the Maids of Honour. In the evening enjoy a relaxing boat ride during the sun set hours on Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 14: Udaipur – Deogarh

This morning a short drive takes us to Deogarh village where the royal family are our hosts at the Deogarh Mahal. The afternoon here is spent exploring the village and its colourful markets. Take a walking tour through the narrow lanes of the market area which are a photographer’s delight. In the evening a gala dinner is hosted for us where local artists will perform for us. Overnight in Deogarh.

Day 15: Deogarh – Jaipur

Today we take a long drive north to reach the capital city of Rajasthan – Jaipur. Upon arrival in Jaipur we will be checked in at the Jai Mahal Palace for a stay of 2 nights. Set amidst 18 acres of beautifully landscaped Moghul gardens, this incomparable Palace dates back to 1745 A.D.

This evening we will explore the bazaars of the walled city. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 16: Jaipur

After breakfast, make a guided city tour of Pink city Jaipur, visit the Amber Fort, built in 16th century, and enjoy an elephant ride at Amber. Drive past the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) originally built to enable ladies of the royal household to watch everyday life and processions of the city. In the afternoon you will visit the beautiful City Palace, a fine blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture and the museum, walk to adjacent Jantar Mantar an astronomical observatory. Rest of the evening is at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Jaipur.

Day 17: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

After breakfast, drive to Mughal city Agra, enroute stop at Fatehpur Sikri (World Heritage site) 37 Km south west of Agra, red sand stone city built by Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. Continue for Agra and on arrival check- in at your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight at hotel in Agra.

Day 18: Agra – Delhi

After breakfast, make a guided city tour of Mughal city Agra , visit the grand Agra Fort built by Great Emperor Akbar, and the famous & magnificent Taj Mahal (1653 AD)-the symbol of eternal love, built by Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Post Lunch continue for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to international airport to connect flight back to home/ onward destination with sweet memories of your trip to India.
